Lavazza Chocolate Dream

Ingredients: (serves 2)
Carte D’Or Lavazza® Latte Macchiato
50g butter, cut into pieces
100g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
2 tbsp golden syrup or honey
2 level tsp cornflour
150ml (1/4 pint) Semi skimmed milk
2 chocolate brownies

Preparation

  1. Make the sauce by putting the butter, chocolate, syrup or honey, cornflour and milk into a saucepan.
  2. Warm over a low heat, stirring constantly, until the ingredients melt and then thicken. Avoid cooking over a high heat!
  3. Warm the brownies in the microwave for 15 seconds on high, or in a low oven for 5 - 6 minutes.
  4. Arrange the brownies on plates or bowls, top with two scoops of Lavazza Latte Macchiato, then pour the hot chocolate sauce on top.

Take a shortcut by using bought chocolate sauce - though warm it up for the very best flavour.

Ingredients: (serves 1)
Carte D’Or Lavazza® Latte Macchiato
1 small cup of hot, strong black coffee
Whipped cream
Chocolate powder

Preparation

  1. Fill half a coffee cup with Carte D’Or Lavazza® Latte Macchiato and store in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the hot coffee and pour over the ice cream surface. Complete with whipped cream and another scoop of Carte D’Or Lavazza® Latte Macchiato.
  3. Add a sprinkle of chocolate powder and enjoy before the ice cream melts!

Pre­fill coffee cups and freeze ­ so that you can enjoy your favourite treat on demand!

Lavazza® Rasberry Tiramisu

Ingredients: (serves 2)
Carte D’Or Lavazza® Latte Macchiato
100g Italian mascarpone
4 tablespoons double cream
150 ml hot strong coffee
2 tablespoons of Marsala or coffee liquer
4 Boudoir biscuits/sponge fingers
100g fresh raspberries
Sprigs of mint

Preparation

  1. Mix together the mascarpone and the lightly whipped double cream.
  2. Make up 150ml strong coffee and pour into a shallow bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of Marsala or coffee liqueur.
  3. Break the Boudoir biscuits/sponge fingers in half and dip them into the coffee mixture, layering them into tall glasses with the mascarpone mixture, the raspberries and generous scoops of Carte D’Or Lavazza® Latte Macchiato ice cream.
  4. Decorate with sprigs of mint and serve immediately ­ enjoy!

For a more Italian flavour, make this dessert with soaked Amaretti biscuits instead of Boudoir biscuits (though you will have to soak them for longer).

Use frozen raspberries, thawed in the microwave for 30 seconds, instead of fresh ones ­ then you'll have no trouble in making this dessert all year round.
