Sumptuous Strawberry Sundae

Ingredients: (serves 2)
Carte D’Or Vanilla
12 strawberries
2 teaspoons of caster sugar
4 amaretti biscuits

Preparation

  1. For each portion, take half a dozen ripe, fresh strawberries. Slice a couple and keep for later. Put the rest into a bowl and crush with a fork, adding a couple of teaspoons of caster sugar to make them more syrupy.
  2. Crush an amaretti biscuit, then layer the crushed strawberries, crushed biscuit and sliced strawberries in a serving glass with 2 scoops of Carte D’Or Vanilla. Finish off with crushed strawberries.
  3. Decorate with a sprig of rosemary ­ and you have the perfect summer dessert.

This delectable recipe is the perfect way to round off a meal or to enjoy by itself, and it takes just a few minutes to prepare. We’ve made it with strawberries, but it’s equally gorgeous with raspberries too! Why not add a splash of sherry for an even more indulgent twist?

Preparation

  1. Warm up a heavenly caramelised Tarte Tatin in the oven. Remove once the caramel starts to bubble and brown.
  2. Divide tart into six equal portions and add a scoop of smooth Carte D’Or Vanilla immediately to each serving.
  3. Wait a moment or two then dive into hot and cold melting together in one magical mouthful. Paradise on a plate.

Carte D’Or Vanilla is also ideal served with traditional British desserts such as a warm rhubarb crumble or sticky toffee pudding.

60g Piping hot Christmas pudding

Preparation

  1. Steam your favourite Christmas pudding in a pan filled with water on the stove for four hours. Keep checking the water level in the pan to prevent burning.
  2. Alternatively cook for two hours in a pressure cooker with about 2 inches of water.
  3. Drizzle the moist pudding with brandy and set alight for a magical Christmas moment. Serve with creamy Carte D’Or Vanilla ­ the perfect alternative to brandy butter.
