BAKED FRESH FIGS AND HONEYED ICE CREAM

This is a heavenly dessert, perfect for using up excess figs when in season.
  • INGREDIENTS
  • 4 scoops of Carte D'Or Amaretto and Vanilla Ice Cream (100g/200ml)
  • 12 fresh figs
  • 50g whole blanched almonds
  • 50g honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • A sprinkling of cinnamon
  • METHOD
  • PRE-HEAT

    the oven to 180°C/160°C fan assisted/ Gas Mark 4.

  • SLICE

    a cross into the top of each fig and squeeze at the base to open, place into a shallow oven proof dish.

  • MIX

    together the whole almonds, honey and cinnamon.

  • SPOON

    the almond and honey mixture into the figs and bake for 15 minutes.

  • SERVE

    place 3 figs per serving into a bowl.

  • SCOOP

    a ball of Carte D’Or Amaretto and Vanilla Ice Cream on top of the figs and drizzle the honeyed cooking juices over the top. Serve immediately.
